BECKER'S LODGE
on Bowron Lake

Welcome to Becker's Lodge!
We are located ca. 800 km (500 mi) north of Vancouver, 120 km (75 mi.)
east of Quesnel, directly on Bowron Lake. The lodge was built in 1933 as
a "headquarters" for guiding outfitters. Since then the several owners
of the lodge have taken people on the Chain of Lakes on guided tours. The
main building has been carefully restored and maintained to protect the
historic integrity of the building. The lodge is situated on a bluff about
100 ft directly above Bowron Lake, with a fantastic view of the snowcapped
Cariboo Mountains in the background. This is your first unforgettable impression.
Around the lodge you will find cabins, bungalows and chalets available
for rent. You can relax in one of our comfortable cabins a day or two before
your trip, get acquainted with the surrounding area, sit back on a cozy
couch and watch the mandatory, informational video in our video room, read
some of our books, and familiarize yourself with the equipment for the
tour. Enjoy the good food in our lake view restaurant. Go for a swim in
the crystal clear water of Bowron Lake. Our beach is right below the lodge.

Bowron Lake Trading Post
-
At the entrance you find our new log house store. It carries supplies which
have been researched to fit park regulations as well as canoeists' special
needs to go around the Bowron Chain of Lakes. We have made every effort
to select the best quality at competitive prices. You will find a wide
variety of goods, some a little out of the ordinary, such as hand made
tools and hand crafted goods unique to the Cariboo area. The store is also
well stocked with general supplies such as camping gear and food, fishing
lures, rain gear, bear spray, insect repellent, sun lotion, as well as
refreshments, snacks, souvenirs and much more.
Camping
-
We have excellent camping facilities for tents, campers
and smaller motorhomes. Sorry, we don't take reservations for campsites
- just arrive. Some of our campsites have the lakeview, others are in the
trees. We have a large property and never turn away campers. Very large
units may on rare occations not find space. Campsites are $15 each.
