Your self-drive rental car - complete with Discovery Drive freedom itinerary - leads you to the shores of magnificent emerald green lakes, thundering waterfalls and awesome mountain views. DAY 1
Upon arrival in Vancouver transfer (not included) to your downtown hotel. Overnight in Vancouver.
DAY 2
Start off your day onboard Rocky Mountaineer Redleaf Service to Kamloops. Spectacular views abound as you travel through the Coastal Mountains, Fraser Valley and Hell's Gate. Arrive in Kamloops in the late afternoon for your overnight. (Breakfast and lunch are included on the train). Overnight in Kamloops.
DAY 3
This morning, you will be transfered to the Kamloops train station to reboard the Rocky Mountaineer on your way to Banff. (Breakfast and lunch are included on the train). Travel along the South Thompson River, Kicking Horse Pass and through the Spiral Tunnels into Banff National Park. Upon arrival in Banff, pick up your car rental and transfer to your hotel. Don't forget to visit the Upper Hot Springs (admission included). Overnight in Banff.
DAY 4
This morning, take a ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain (included) and enjoy the view. Later, drive to the "Jewel of the Rockies", Lake Louise for your overnight.
DAY 5
Spend the day exploring Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Yoho Valley. Overnight in Lake Louise.
DAY 6
Drive to Calgary today and return your car to either the Calgary International Airport or downtown AVIS location ($60.00 Cdn drop fee not included).
