This strait is internationally recognized as beingthe best location to see killer whales in the wild. The majority of BritishColumbia's 300 orcas congregate here to feed on the rich stocks of salmon,to socialize and visit the rubbing beaches. Days will be spent paddlingthis cedar-fringed tidal environment and sharing the waters with thesesocially developed whales. Performances of spyhopping, breaching and finningwill shed more light on the needs of these fascinating mammals. 

We will explore this beautiful coastline with itsintricate network of coves, take day hikes, snorkel and beach comb.
